And now it’s the college women’s turn.
LSU wins the first heat in a 43.54 — the 10th fastest time ever at the Relays. Texas A&M does them one better, running 43.40 in the second heat. That’s the sixth fastest ever at the Relays (pushing LSU down to No. 11 all-time).
Texas Christian wins the third heat in 44.34, Auburn the fourth in 44.66, and South Carolina the fifth in 44.45.

The Penn Relays are the largest annual track and field meet in the United States and the largest annual relay meet in the world. Over the course of three days, 19,000 athletes from all levels will race in front of 115,000 spectators. The 2010 Penn Relays will be from April 22-24.
