LaTavia Thomas of LSU has been named the College Women’s Athlete of the Meet for relay events after anchoring the Tigers to victories in both the 4x800m and sprint medley relays. The West Catholic High grad also ran the third leg on LSU’s second-place 4x400m relay.
The Penn Relays are the largest annual track and field meet in the United States and the largest annual relay meet in the world. Over the course of three days, 19,000 athletes from all levels will race in front of 115,000 spectators. The 2010 Penn Relays will be from April 22-24.
