Chelsey Sveinsson of Greenhill School (Addison, Texas) blew the field away, opening up a huge lead early and never looking back. She clocked 4:46.85, good for #5 all-time at Penn. (Sveinsson’s own 4:43.51, which she ran for third place last year, is the #4 time.) That’s the fastest time by a high school girl this year.
Sveinsson’s margin of victory was a staggering 12.4 seconds!
She was clocked at 4:27.63 at the 1500-meter mark
