Scanning the Internets: Media Coverage

• The Philadelphia Inquirer recaps the day, highlighting Tennessee’s win in the women’s DMR.

• The IAAF also covers the Lady Vols’ win.

• The Jamaica Observer focuses on its local athletes.

• The high school girls DMR — and the upset win by Tatnall School — gets some love from the Journal News. It’s even on the front page (at the bottom). On the flip side, the Star-Ledger looks at the event from the point of view of pre-race favorites Southern Regional.

• The Star-Ledger also writes about high school girls triple jump defending champ Ada Unachukwu (Marlboro), who finished second this time around.

• In the Washington Post there’s a nice story about the second straight win in the girls shot put for Emily Vannoy (Thomas Johnson HS, Frederick, MD).

• The New York Times doesn’t have much to say about us, but they have a nice story about the Drake Relays, celebrating its 100th anniversary this weekend.
