It turned out to be the the Allyson Felix—Sanya Richards match-up everyone wanted. Felix anchored USA Red to victory in 42.57, but Richards was right on her heels the whole way, finishing off USA Blue in 42.64. Jamaica was third in 43.31.

High School Girls 4×100 Championship
April 25, 2008The 4×100 High School Girls Championship is on the track. This has been the exclusive domain of the Jamaican schools, and 5 out the 8 schools are from Jamaica this year, including the top seed.
Edwin Allen Comprehensive wins in 44.79. That’s the 6th fastest h.s. girls 4×100 ever run at the Penn Relays.

April 25, 2008We have two events for the High School Girls 4×100 that consist of the fastest 9 large schools and small schools outside of those who have made the final.
St. Andrew’s Girls (Jamaica) has won the large school event in 46.98.
Manchester (Jamaica) won the small schools in 45.64.

April 25, 2008The Executive Track Club wins the first heat of the women’s division in 45.10. In the second section, Team USA wins in 43.46, with US Hurdlers second in 44.39.
Executive Track Club wins the first men’s heat in 39.82. Nike Central Park TC takes the second section in 42.14 and Bronx International wins the third (44.46).
College Women’s 4×100 Championship
April 25, 2008LSU anchor Kelly Ann Baptiste comes from behind to edge Texas A&M for the victory, 42.59-42.69. That’s a Penn Relays record for the Tigers, and A&M is also under the old mark (42.73, set by LSU in 2003). LSU wins this event for the 12th time.
