Our collegiate athletes of the meet for individual events are Rachel Laurent of LSU and Jeremy Hicks, also of LSU.
Laurent set a meet record with a 13-10 1/2 pole vault clearance, and Hicks won the long jump in 26-3 on his last jump. Hicks’ mark was #7 All-Time.

High School Boys 400 Hurdles
April 25, 2009Much nicer weather this morning, 56 degrees at 8:50 am, when our first running event, the high school boys 400H, goes off.
Jordan Rispress of Hilliard, Ohio, wins the first heat in 51.89, the eighth best time ever at the Relays.

High School Individual Distance
April 24, 2009We have two individual events tonight before out high school girls 4×400 championship, the mile and the 3000m.
Jeremy Rae of Lakeshore (Ontario Canada) has opened up a very large lead at one lap, with an approximate half-mile split of 2:04. At three laps, Rae still leads, but the field is definitely stalking the leader.

High School Girls Individual MVP
April 24, 2009Not surprisingly, Nikita Tracey from Edwin Allen (JA) is our High School Girls Athlete of the Meet for Individual Events. Ms. Tracey won the intermediate hurdles in 57.44, which was the 2nd fastest ever run at Penn. She also ran a faster time than the college champion. Congrats Nikita Tracey !
