College Women's 4x100 Championship

Our second women’s championship is the 4×100 (approximately 5 minutes ahead of schedule !). Anchored by Gabby Mayo, Texas A&M has defended their title in 43.09—which is No. 6 All-Time here at the Penn Relays—with LSU second in 43.30.  A&M ran 43.10 last year; high marks for consistency. Sarah Pease of Indiana outlasts Claire Michel of Oregon, winning the College Women’s Steeplechase.  Pease won the Drake Relays steeple last year – and now has a Penn Relays championship as well.  Certainly a very interesting double !

The women’s 4×400 heats are off. In the first heat, Jamaica’s UTech pulled away from Texas with 200 meters to go for a 3:32.81–3:33.54 victory.
