We have a series of Masters 100 meter dashes on the north straightaway concurrently with the shuttle hurdles on the south straightaway.

Masters 40+: John Simpson, 11.31 followed by Tim McCrossin, 11.41. Heat 2 was won by William Marshall in 11.69
Masters 45+: Lonnie Hooker, 11.25 followed by Chris Faulknor in 11.35
Masters 55+: Bill Collins, 11.44 (a new WORLD RECORD)
Masters 60+: Charlie Allie, 12.59
Masters 65+: Tom Johnson, 14.21
Masters 70+: Bob Lida, 13.64

The Masters 4×100 races take the track. Southwest Sprinters TC wins the 40+ race in 43.90. Sprint Force America holds off Houston Elite to win the 50+ section, 46.12-46.16. And in the 60+ heat Mass Velocity TC (bib C at right) wins in 51.37. Sprint Force America (bib E), fielding a team of 70+ runners, finished second in 51.96, a world record in that age division.
