Going For A Record

If the Penn Relays can draw a crowd of 50,724 today, it will set a Carnival three-day record.
So far the Relays welcomed 23,567 fans on Thursday and 39,904 on Friday. The three-day record currently stands at 114,194, established in 2006.
The all-time single-day attendance records:
Thursday — 25,189 (2005)
Friday — 39,943 (2006)
Saturday — 50,827 (2002)
